AI Health Coach
Install a privacy-first AI coach for health journaling, training, nutrition, recovery, wearable data, and your own health knowledge library.
AI Health Coach is a reusable set of instructions for AI apps. It turns ChatGPT Desktop, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or Grok Bot into a personal coach that can guide an onboarding, keep a health journal, review training and wearable data, and build a source-grounded knowledge library.
You can now provide only the link to this guide. The page publishes machine-readable installation instructions, the exact OpenAI skill directory, the downloadable skill package, and an official Claude Code plugin marketplace.
What gets installed
The GitHub repository contains an open Agent Skill: instructions, blank templates, initialization scripts, and safety rules that teach a supported AI app how to act as your health coach. It is not a separate app and the public repository contains no personal health data.
- complete an onboarding about goals, activity, nutrition, recovery, injuries, preferences, and privacy;
- turn natural-language check-ins and files into a private journal and structured logs;
- review longer-term trends in workouts, measurements, sleep, recovery, and wearable data;
- collect articles and videos in a personal knowledge library and use them as sources for later coaching.
Install it with one prompt
Start a new task in ChatGPT Desktop or Claude Code and paste only this instruction. The machine-readable installation instructions in the guide point to the correct package for the AI app in use.

If you prefer or need to add the package manually, download the latest AI Health Coach skill as a ZIP. Always use this complete package rather than copying only SKILL.md.
| AI app | Where to start | After installation |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Desktop | Paste the prompt in a chat, Work, or Codex task. The guide points to the ZIP package and exact GitHub skill directory. | Use “@ai-health-coach Start my onboarding.” |
| Claude Code | Paste the prompt into Claude Code. The guide has Claude add the official marketplace and install the plugin. | Use “/ai-health-coach:ai-health-coach Start my onboarding.” |
| Claude Cowork | Paste the prompt in Cowork and select the private data folder when asked. | Ask it to use the AI Health Coach skill and start your onboarding. |
| Grok Bot | Paste the prompt into a one-to-one Bot and use a private workspace on the Bot’s computer. | Check that the private skill is enabled for this Bot. |
Start coaching safely
The coach starts with an onboarding and asks what may be stored. After that, ordinary language is enough: log a workout, describe how you slept, import a wearable export, or ask for a weekly review.
- Give the AI app access only to the private health workspace it needs.
- Review privacy settings before uploading medical records or connecting a cloud service.
- Check important advice and do not use the coach to diagnose or treat disease.
- Contact a qualified professional or emergency service when the situation requires it.
Review my onboarding answers, explain which information you will store, and propose one small action for this week. State what is uncertain and do not make a medical diagnosis.
